Quality and Environmental Policy
PBS ENERGO, a.s. endeavours to be a prosperous firm building on its presence in the marketplace through activities fulfilling the requirements of clients, their needs and satisfaction being of utmost importance. It is going to continue to focus on extending opportunities in delivering products and services which, by their quality, reliability, performance and environmental friendliness, meet specified or assumed requirements, with steam turbines and other power products being those particularly benefiting from this policy.
In order to meet these strategic goals, the company operates a quality and environmental management system according to standards ČSN EN ISO 9001/2001 and ČSN EN ISO 14001/2005 . Consequently, senior management have made it a priority to continually improve processes, efficiently utilise all resources and eliminate adverse effects to the environment. High-level staff go about this by taking steps to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s activities in general, whilst making sure that every employee is aware of their responsibility to behave in as green a way as possible at all times. Furthermore, the activities of the management are regularly reviewed, so as to deal with technical and organisational deviations from specified standards. This takes place in order to ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of the system implemented, in addition to making certain that clients remain satisfied with the company's products and services.
The goals of PBS ENERGO are to constantly optimise their processes, and to cut costs by using any necessary resources efficiently. All employees are encouraged to increase their awareness of environmental matters at all levels, consequently improving their qualifications, skills and abilities, which are then reflected in the high technical standard of products and services.
The principles of quality control and the environmental management system are applied to internal and external communication, particularly with suppliers, this being the means through which the company's ecological objectives are presented. In its business relations, PBS ENERGO maintains a very sincere approach to green matters and sees to it that statutory regulations are met; principally concerning products purchased which could adversely affect the environment.
The quality and environmental management system is regularly evaluated and reviewed at senior management level to guarantee its suitability, efficiency, effectiveness, and to identify opportunities for enhancement or change. This policy confirms the company's commitment to continual improvement and preventing pollution. It also signifies their willingness to adhere to legal regulations and other requirements applicable to the company, as well as to using natural resources effectively, safeguarding water, soil and air standards, and maintaining a policy of health and safety at work. The process of handling waste and chemicals, as well as accident and emergency measures, are integral parts of this policy. In the next period, PBS ENERGO is committed to:
- continuously improving its environmental management system and to further protecting the environment in all business activities,
- avoiding the necessity for follow-up actions,
- enforcing suppliers to meet the conditions of legal environmental regulations,
- observing existing laws and other requirements applicable,
- strictly adhering to emission limits as stipulated by law,
- making known the company's environmental policy and its implementation to the public, interested parties, as well as all individuals and organisations working with the company.
All present and future processes and activities are going to continue to be planned, assessed and supervised from the perspective of environmental aspects and targets. PBS ENERGO undertakes to monitor and control pollution sources, which for the time being cannot be done away with, in order to minimise emissions below threshold limits. Protecting the environment and maintaining client satisfaction are the goals for which this company will always strive.
