News of year 2005
IDET 2005
In 2005 the 8th IDET International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technology as one of the most important defence industry exhibitions in Central Europe has changed compared to the 7th IDET. Not only that the whole pavilion "Z" was dedicated to army and thus most firms were transferred into the new pavilion "F", but also organization has changed - the exhibition was opened also to the public at the weekend. As to the exhibitors, their number as well as the scope of their business has been increased compared to the last exhibition.
For PBS Velká Bíteš, a.s., as a traditional exhibitor it was an opportunity to show its latest products also in this country, e.g. as turbojet engine TJ 100 and to establish contacts for future collaboration.

IFAT 2005
From 26 to 30 April 2005, Turbine Division of our company took part in the trade fair IFAT 2005 in Germany. The trade fair is one of the greatest events in the field of ecology and wastes in Europe. Our firm has taken active part already for the second time. It is possible to state that compared to the previous fair the number of visitors to our stand was slightly higher. Also the active participation of the Czech firms at the trade fair and number of Czech entrepreneurs and representatives of municipalities was substantially higher. Information on current technical standard of our biggest competitors’ products is very important for us. There were frequent meetings and interest in our products.

Hanover Fair 2005
From 11 to 15 April 2005, the Metallurgy Division of our plant took part in Hanover Fair, one of the most important German trade fairs. The exposition of První brněnská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. was installed in Hall 3 specialised in castings and forgings, among the other Czech foundries. Considering that the Metallurgy Division has taken part in the fair for the first time this year, the result has fulfilled and exceeded expectations. Several meetings were held with current customers, and contacts have been established with new firms interested in the production of castings. In our opinion it is very positive that První brněnská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s. - Metallurgy Division presented itself together with the other important Czech foundries which have already become traditional exhibitors at this fair.
